Company Summary:
A family-owned food manufacturer is seeking a strategic and creative Brand Manager to lead the development and execution of brand initiatives for a portfolio of fast-growing confectionery brands. This role is ideal for a data-driven marketer with a passion for consumer insights, innovation, and cross-functional leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Brand Ownership: Serve as the primary steward for all brand activities, overseeing strategy, positioning, and execution across all channels.
- Portfolio Management: Manage a dynamic and expanding brand portfolio, using consumer insights, sales data, and market trends to drive performance.
- Social Media & Content: Develop and implement social media strategies, ensuring consistent and engaging branded content.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead internal teams and external agencies to deliver on business plans and innovation roadmaps.
- Sales Strategy Support: Influence sales priorities including distribution, merchandising, and promotional strategies; provide ongoing support to sales teams.
- Partnerships & Sponsorships: Develop and manage brand partnerships and sponsorships to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Consumer Advocacy: Represent the voice of the customer by understanding consumer needs, behaviors, and macro trends.
- Performance Reporting: Lead monthly business reviews using syndicated data to analyze and communicate brand performance.
- Consumer Insights: Utilize syndicated and custom research to identify trends and adapt brand strategies in real time.
- Budget & P&L Management: Oversee brand P&Ls and manage consumer marketing budgets.
- Training & Communication: Create training materials and sell stories for internal teams, retail partners, and customer service.
- Sales Tools Development: Produce product content such as sell sheets, quick facts, and retailer toolkits.
- Creative Collaboration: Support design and digital teams in developing educational, promotional, and social media content.
- E-Commerce Strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of an e-commerce strategy in collaboration with agencies and brokers.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of 2-3 Marketing Associates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in brand marketing, category management, or digital marketing.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive for growth and innovation.
- Proficient in analyzing syndicated and consumer data.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple brands and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills across departments and external partners.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
- Skilled in developing marketing and training materials with a high standard of written communication.
- Engaging and effective in delivering training and education.
- Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Experience managing agency relationships and delivering high-quality content under tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using digital tools for marketing and education.
