Position Summary

This role is ideal for a scientist or experienced associate passionate about bioconjugation, biologic purification, and analytical characterization. The successful candidate will support the production and analysis of a diverse pipeline of antibody-, peptide-, and oligonucleotide-based therapeutics. Responsibilities span early proof-of-concept studies to process optimization in a dynamic preclinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct bioconjugation reactions, from initial feasibility to process refinement
  • Purify biologics across various therapeutic formats and scales
  • Develop and execute analytical methods to assess product quality and stability
  • Maintain detailed laboratory records and communicate results effectively
  • Manage and track materials, reagents, and samples used in studies
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including chemistry, biology, and CMC to support timely program advancement

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in industry or academia
  • Hands-on experience with bioconjugation techniques and purification workflows
  • Proficiency in HPLC method development and troubleshooting
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with a variety of conjugation strategies involving proteins, peptides, and oligonucleotides
  • Background in protein engineering or organic synthesis
  • Experience with Agilent OpenLab or similar data acquisition software
  • Understanding of early-stage tech transfer and CMC readiness
  • Exposure to biopharmaceutical characterization methods including MS, SPR, bioassays, and PK/PD evaluations
  • Adaptability to startup environments with evolving systems and high ownership culture
