Robert Half Legal is partnering with a highly regarded plaintiff consumer warranty law firm in Century City, CA, to recruit an Entry-Level Legal Assistant for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This is an excellent chance for a career starter to get hands-on experience in a fast-paced legal environment while supporting attorneys and staff in critical daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Administrative Support: Perform general administrative duties, including document preparation, proofreading, scanning, filing (electronic and physical), and mail management.
+ Case Preparation: Assist in organizing case files, preparing materials for discovery, and tracking deadlines.
+ Client Interaction: Communicate professionally with clients to schedule meetings, provide case updates, and gather necessary documentation or information.
+ Legal Research: Conduct basic research and assist in the preparation of case-related documentation (training provided).
+ Calendaring: Manage court deadlines, appointments, and attorney schedules to ensure timely and efficient workflow.
+ Operational Support: Work closely with the legal team to maintain efficiency within the office, including answering phones and ensuring compliance with firm standards.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Education: A Bachelor's degree or relevant coursework in legal studies preferred, but not required. Paralegal Certification is a plus.
+ Experience: Previous experience in a professional office setting or legal internship is beneficial but not mandatory.
+ Skills:
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
+ Highly organized and detail-oriented.
+ Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a team-oriented environment.
+ Professional demeanor and enthusiasm for client-facing responsibilities.

+ Location: This is a fully on-site role in Century City, CA, with standard business hours.
+ Contract-to-Hire Opportunity: The initial assignment is contract-based with the potential for permanent placement based on performance.
