  • Local candidates preferred (hybrid/remote negotiable)
  • Per diem is available for non-local candidates
  • Schedule: 4x10s (40 hrs./week) | Some OT required during outages

We’re hiring Civil Engineers to support a major long-term license renewal project at a nuclear facility. If you're passionate about designing critical infrastructure and ready to make a real impact in nuclear energy, this is a fantastic opportunity to help extend the life of a power plant through modern, compliant, and innovative civil engineering.

This is a long-term contract role with occasional travel (monthly if non-local, limited annually if local) and occasional outage support.

Top 3 Must-Have Skills:

  1. Structural design experience (steel/concrete) for supports, foundations, junction boxes, etc.
  2. Familiarity with ACI, ASCE, ASME (lifting and rigging standards)
  3. Seismic analysis and component mounting design experience

Soft Skills Matter:

You’ll collaborate across disciplines — so strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to documentation detail are key. Proactivity and stakeholder engagement are highly valued here.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Finite Element Modeling
  • Experience as a Responsible Engineer at a nuclear facility
  • Familiarity with Mathcad, GTStrudl, STAAD, ANSYS
  • Experience with NRC regulations or Nuclear Standard Design Process

Project Overview:

You’ll be part of the Subsequent License Renewal (SLR) initiative — extending plant operations to 80 years through critical upgrades and infrastructure modernization. This role is central to the future of nuclear energy and regulatory excellence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (required)
  • PE license or Master’s degree (preferred)
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills

Let’s build the future of energy, safely and smartly.
